The Summer of Scott

Six days ago The Summer of Scott got an early start as I decided to attempt a round of Frolf - or disc golf as its more commonly called. Thinking I was pretty smart for purchasing a bright orange driver that couldn’t possibly get lost, I stepped up to the first hole and let ‘er fly! I then spent the next 15 minutes combing through the waste high grass for my suddenly invisible disc after it decided midflight to take ‘the scenic route’. Well, by the 18th hole things were a little better but I’ve plenty of room for improvement. Even with my miserable playing, I still had a blast. Almost as much fun as walking barefoot through split pea soup!

  1. Hi Scott,
Saw your post at RJ’s about tessellation. Came over to check out the Distillery. I haven’t played in years…but did play disc golf at Wickam Park in Manchester CT before there was even an official course. http://pdga.com/courses_by_city.php?id=1694 It really is a great sport with great spirit.

Also was fascinated with your Oregon Tri-Travel-athon graphic. You no doubt have seen what Nate and Sarah are up to! http://www.trailjournals.com/westcoast/

    Hope all is well.

    Peace,
    David
