Tis true, this is my first Battleship victory ever! When I was a kid, I always put my tiny ship in the same spot, because I liked it there. However, my opponent mother quickly caught on and always crushed me. Admittedly, I did have a moment of pure glee when I learned of the aforementioned defeat. I think most of it was for the fact that we actually finished this game! And to think how long it would have taken if we had played the method where you have 5 guesses, and your opponent tells you how many are hits, but not which ones. Maybe next time?

scott - i'm afraid bob beat you fair and square, while i simply enjoyed the prolonged spectacle! upon studying your boys' battle stations i have to say you're a lousy shot - torpedoes fired according to a systematic and orderly strategy...in every part of the grid EXCEPT the ship locations! but you can feel good for giving ol' bob a boost with this win. he went around with a silly grin on his face all day and he even stole your photo to refresh our computer wallpaper!

Hi Scott, this is pedestriansaga's little sis. I've enjoyed hearing about your epic battle, and even if you were defeated, I still must congratulate you both for one of the most creative ways of keeping in touch I've ever heard of!

Very interesting. I might have to borrow this idea from you to keep in touch with a few of my other friends. Sorry to hear you are such a bad player though. ;)

I still can't BELIEVE my complete and utter bad luck. Nor can I believe Urban Locust's rediculously good luck! At least for me, I sure hope this doesn't indicate a longer term trend in the rest of my life.
