Bowie’s Ballistics

While following a cheeky blog discussion that I dare not partake in, I was reminded of a related post by The Gal From Down Under on the Bike Friday mailing list. If you have an allergy to nuts (or spandex), then don’t follow this link. Otherwise, I found it quite laughable and let it serve as a stiff reminder of why I wear regular shorts over my bicycle shorts.

    Wow! Those shirts don’t help either; together the whole outfit just makes a big red arrow pointing to the fact that “Yes, we ARE men!” Perhaps if we humans came with feathers instead of fur, this would be an advantageous decorative plumage pattern.

    Whoa! Mercy! Uncle! Those bike shorts have an effect similar to eating way too many donuts all at once. (”Yesterday’s gluttony can quench tomorrow’s desire,” a wise man once said.) Thank you, Scott, for curing me of my ridiiicccccckulus obsession!

    Okay, Scott, my technological capabilities are lacking…I have a GREAT picture to post here, and don’t know how to. I tried to find it on the internet again, so I could just link to it, but of course one never seems to be able to recreate a particular internet procrastination session and find the same thing again. I have it saved on my computer as a JPEG though so if you email me I will email it to you and let you post it since I don’t know how.
    And by the way, thanks for gracing my lowly little blog with your presence! :-)

    This must be a sample from a chick-oriented version of one of those “girls and bikes” type mags for motorcycle men. Sign me up for a subscription!
