Today in The Nation, David Corn posted a very somber article on the continuing blatant incompetence that our country’s administration refuses to take responsibility for. The sad thing is that most American’s seem perfectly willing to buy into the fantasy spewed forth from the White House. As long as big daddy keeps saying “Don’t you worry your pretty little faces off. The world is a scary scary place, but I’ll take care of everything!” everything will be fine. Fine my ass. The United States government is becoming way too sleezy and self-serving to do its job right. With props to the Joker I say, “The Whitehouse needs an enema!”

Intensity

I’m not sure what it is, but once I get involved with something it usually engulfs me completely. Take for example the computer programming job I started about a month ago. You would think after spending all day building web pages and tweaking databases that I wouldn’t want to get close to a computer once home. On the contrary, it just fuels my intensity. The last few weeks I’ve been working almost non-stop every evening on a web-based stock analysis and charting application. Its coming along quite well and I’ve begun to make trades based on the system. I just hope that I finish it to my satisfaction soon so that I can hopefully focus my intensity on something else like bamboo horticulture or planning a Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike.

In the meantime, if anyone is interested in a purely technical stock trading system send me a message and I’ll set you up with a login on my site. Maybe the sooner someone tells me that it couldn’t be improved any better, the sooner I can find my life again.

I find it perfectly natural to talk about computer programming, investing, growing bamboo trees, and extended backpacking trips all in the same breath. However all I get in return are looks of confusion. Am I the only one who understands me? Is the bigger picture really that difficult to grasp?
